Councilman Connelly began his second term of Fourth Ward Councilman on January 1, 2020. He grew up in the City of Summit and now resides in Roselle Park with his family. He is employed as a Service Technician for Park Appliance based in Roselle Park. He served for 10 years in the United States Navy. He is actively involved with the Church of the Assumption as a Committee Member, Usher and Eucharistic Minister. He is an Officer in the Knights of Columbus, third and fourth degree; is the Vice Commander at both the American Legion Post #60 in Roselle Park and Union County Chapter; and is the Commander of the Catholic War Veterans Post #866.
Councilman Connelly serves as a member of the Public Safety Committee as liaison to First Aid. He is also a member of the Municipal Services (DPW & Engineering) Committee as liaison to code enforcement. His current term of office commenced on January 1, 2020 and ends December 31, 2022.
