Charlene Komar Storey began her first term as Council Representative for the Second Ward in January 2013. She has lived in Roselle Park for 26 years. Charlene was born in Queens, New York, and lived in the Metropolitan area and in California before moving to Roselle Park. She has been married to Gregory D. Storey for nearly 30 years. Charlene is the Chairwoman of the Commerce and Technology Committees and Council Liaison to the Environmental Commission and Mores Creek Committees. Charlene holds a B.A. in Journalism, and has worked as a business journalist for some 30 years, covering and analyzing a wide variety of industries. Charlene sits on the board of the Friends of the Roselle Park Veterans Memorial Library, as well as that of the Humanists of North Jersey. She has volunteered at the Jewish Braille Institute in Manhattan, and has written material for the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization and has helped with its public relations efforts.
